The original building dated from 1885, was reconstructed in 1939 to serve as the Rome’s headquarter of US Air Force during the World War II and, in 1947 was opened to the public. Since then, had been chosen by many personalities such as the honeymoon of Prince Rainier with Grace Kelly.
